Abstract
The article analyses the objectives of modernization of professional pedagogical education in Russia taking into account the relevant legislative and normative base in the field of education, the existing decrees of the President of the Russian Federation. Emphasizes the necessity of strengthening the environmental components in the preparation of the students in pedagogical ways. A brief description of the research program of a new scientific school of geography-ecology Faculty «Ecological-oriented professional pedagogical education».
