Abstract: the article deals with the current system trends of ecological education in higher school on the example of professional pedagogical education. The inclusion of the individual in the ecological-oriented activity is the main (system-forming) factor of ecological education, which allows to fully use the ecological, pedagogical and psychological principles and laws of the formation of the ecological-oriented worldview.
